Project Introduction
The The client is the CSR arm of a multi-business conglomerate engaged in chemicals, packaging films, technical textiles, and engineering plastics. Set up over four decades ago, the client has, since its founding, worked towards contributing to society, mainly through education. Over the years, the client's focus areas have expanded to include a rural education initiative and a vocational skill development programme, aimed at improving learning outcomes for children and building employable skills among rural youth.
The client needed a cost-effective, user-friendly application to monitor its rural education initiative and vocational skill development programme in real time. The existing process relied heavily on manual data collection and periodic reporting, which limited visibility into on-ground progress and delayed adaptive decision-making. The client wanted a system that could support both web and mobile-based data capture across field locations, feed into a structured Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) framework, and give programme managers real-time dashboards to track progress against targets.
TechCSR developed a customized web and Android application to monitor and manage the client's rural education initiative and vocational skill development programme. The solution digitizes field data collection, structures it against a defined M&E framework, and presents it through real-time dashboards — enabling programme teams to track outcomes, spot gaps early, and make adaptive decisions rather than relying on retrospective reporting.
